Ceramicx Ireland Ltd

Ceramicx was set up in 1992 and in 1994 moved into its new premises in Ballydehob, Ireland on a site previously owned by Infrared Internationale.  The factory output is 98% exported. The company’s planned developments and expansion will include higher value jobs supported by increased levels of automation and know-how at our factory works. Over the past five years Ceramicx has invested in a large machinery shop, with CNC milling machines and metal cutting, shaping and finishing machinery to ensure the continuing independent manufacturing success of the company – with no dependence on outsourcing and full control of the innovation and materials used.

DePuy Ireland

DePuy Ireland is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, the world’s largest and most diverse healthcare corporation.The DePuy franchise has a well-established reputation as an innovator in new product development.  In the 1960s DePuy researchers were at the forefront of the concept of total hip replacement, a development which is largely responsible for shaping the modern day orthopaedic market.  DePuy’s products are primarily used by orthopaedic specialists and spinal neurosurgeons to treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions resulting from degenerative diseases, deformities, trauma and sports-related injuries. 
DePuy Ireland established a state of the art manufacturing facility in Ringaskiddy in 1997. The site predominately manufactures orthopaedic knee and hip replacement joints. In 2002, a global supply chain organisation was located at the Ringaskiddy site which takes responsibility for global demand and supply planning. Currently the company employs over 600 people in Cork.

EMC2

EMC Corporation is the world’s leading developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions that enable organisations of all sizes to transform the way they compete and create value from their information. EMC established a presence in Ireland in 1988 with its first manufacturing facility outside of North America in Ovens, Cork, followed by sales offices in Dublin (1990) and Belfast (2005). The Cork facility has become a multi-functional campus and the home of EMC’s International Operations. It has emerged as a leader in EMC’s initiative to develop and manufacture energy-efficient information infrastructure technologies and became an EMC Centre of Excellence (COE) in 2009. EMC now employs over 2,500 people in Ireland across all of its sites – including VMware, RSA, and Mozy.

Vistakon

Vistakon Ireland is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. Established since 1995, the Limerick facility is the only Vistakon manufacturing site outside the U.S. Globally, we are the largest producer of disposable contact lenses with ACUVUE as the leading product in the market. The technology at Limerick is the most advanced in the contact lens industry and we directly employ over 650 people on site.
