Mark Fitzpatrick, Research Administrator

Mark Fitzpatrick is the research administrator for ICMR. Mark joined Intel in August 1995. He has worked in various areas in Intel’s wafer manufacturing and more recently as a Training Specialist in Manufacturing Training.

Barry Kennedy, CEO

Barry Kennedy qualified with an MSc from University of Dublin, Trinity College Dublin in 1996. Barry has worked in a research environment in Trinity College Dublin for 10 years before commencing work with Intel.

Dr. Fergus Quilligan, Researcher in Residence

Dr. Fergus Quilligan studied Experimental Physics at University College, Dublin and obtained a PhD in physics in 2001, working onsite with both the European Space Agency and NASA.

Alan O'Donovan

Alan O'Donovan is a Manufacturing Science Reesearcher with ICMR, Alan has also worked as a Process Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer in multiple departments within Intel as well as a statistical analyst within the Health Research and Innovation team at Intel and the TRIL Centre before taking up his current role.

Dr. David Kelly, Researcher in Residence

David joined Intel in 1997 as a Process Engineer in the Thin Films area. He has held various engineering positions in both manufacturing and IQ during the past 13 years. He moved to his current position as a Researcher in Residence in the ICMR in 2010. His areas of interest include predictive maintenance and component failure modelling. Read more...

Dr. Bahman Honari is a postdoctoral researcher in Data Mining, Machine Learning and Virtual Metrology, at the department of Electronic Engineering, National University of Ireland Maynooth.

Dr. Cathal Heavey, Head of Department (UL)

Dr. Cathal Heavey of the Enterprise Research Centre in the University of Limerick heads a group of researchers (7 postgraduates plus two Postdocs).

Dr. Paul Young, Lecturer (DCU)

Dr. Paul Young obtained his PhD from Trinity College Dublin in 1991 for research in the high-speed monitoring of vibrations in turning. He then worked as a project engineer with ESTECH Corporation in Japan testing, modelling and optimising vehicles for noise, vibration and harshness.

Prof. John Ringwood (NUIM)

Prof. John Ringwood, Associate Dean for Engineering. Prof Ringwood received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology,Ireland, in 1981 and a Ph.D. degree in control systems from Strathclyde University, Scotland, U.K.,in 1985. He was with the School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, Ireland, from 1985 to 2000.

Dr. Prakash (NUIM)

Prakash (PKS Prakash) received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI, US, in 2010. His other educational background includes a B. Tech. (Metallurgy and Materials Engineering) which he gained in 2005 from the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, Ranchi, India, and an M.S. (Industrial Engineering) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI, US awarded in 2006.

Dr. Paul Liston (DCU)

Dr. Paul Liston is a Research Fellow at the Enterprise Process Research Centre, in Dublin City University. He holds a BEng in Industrial Engineering, an MTech in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and a PhD from the Manufacturing and Operations Engineering department in the University of Limerick.
