Dr. Prakash (NUIM)
Prakash (PKS Prakash) received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI, US, in 2010. His other educational background includes a B. Tech. (Metallurgy and Materials Engineering) which he gained in 2005 from the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, Ranchi, India, and an M.S. (Industrial Engineering) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI, US awarded in 2006.
In recent years, he has contributed on several research product involving Stream-of-variation analysis, Multi-sensor planning, integration and analysis etc funded by NSF, NIST-ATP, EPSRC and worked with industrial partners including 3DCS, DaimlerChrysler, Teradata to name a few. He has published about 18 papers in leading international journals and conferences.
He is also acting as a reviewer of 4 leading international journals. He worked as a Research Associate at University of Warwick, UK and supported Warwick Analytics Limited, UK as consultant with the development of advance in-database analytics. He is currently working as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at National University of Ireland, Maynooth. His current research focuses on application of data mining and machine learning approaches for virtual metrology and preventive maintenance. His other research interests includes process modelling, statistical analysis and decision support.
